The wedding looked perfect—white and gold, glowing lights, over 200 guests dressed for a picture-perfect moment. I stood outside in a suit I had tailored just for this day, holding a simple white envelope with a card and a check for my son, Diego. I didn’t have an invitation… but I was his father.
